Design Brief
Grand Manar was a rebranding project of Almanar Restaurant, a damascene restaurant based in Istanbul, the new owners wanted it as an extension to their already existing restaurant in Dubai, which is called Grand Café, where the owners wanted to keep the theme of the existing brand while having a unique identity of the new restaurant in Istanbul at the same time, therefore, they suggested that the usage of the fez is crucial for the design.

01. Usage of a fez as a symbol of the shared culture in the middle east.
02. Grand Manar as a mixed name between the western and eastern culture, reflecting the existing restaurant in Dubai with the new one in Istanbul.
03. A damascene tradition theme that’s integrated with a modern design.
04. The location of the restaurant at Vatan Cad. in Istanbul, one of the most crowded districts in Istanbul prioritize the importance of visibility.
